Daily Purification: A short Vajrasattva Practice

Lama Zopa has made this text available for us. Here is what the site says:

Lama Zopa Rinpoche has composed this short Vajrasattva practice and requested that it be published in a pocket-sized format that is easy for people to carry round and have available at all times. Thus, we can be like the great Atisha - whenever we notice we have broken a vow or created any other kind of negative karma, we can whip out our little Vajrasattva book and purify that negativity with the four opponent powers without a second’s delay.

Ripples of Light

From March 28-31 2002, Geshe La gave this teaching, called Ripples of Light. It was the long Easter weekend and this teaching is on the 10th chapter of the Bodhisattvacaryavatara - The chapter on dedication.

Since it is the Easter weekend, Geshe La fuses the teachings with the life story of Jesus. This makes this a very special teaching. Very moving...

You can also get the texts for the teachings from here:

A Guide to the Bodhisattva's Way of Life - Chapter 10

A big thank you to Roy Harvey of Lamrim for hosting all the teachings.

Being Peace

CHris from Flazoom posted this link on his site. It's a very moving Flash presentation with background narration by Thich Nhat Hanh. One of the best short stories on war I've read is 'The Stone Boy' by Thich Nhat Hanh. It is a beautiful story, read it if you get a chance.

Khandro.net

Just cam across this wonderful site, that has lots of information on Buddhits deities and symbolisms. Great place to spend some time (a lot of it, in fact.) 'Khandro' by the way is Tibetan for 'Dakini' or 'Space Travelers'.

A Guide to the Bodhisattva's Way of Life

"There is nothing here that has not been said before
And I have no skill in the art of rhetoric;
Therefore, lacking any intention to benefit others,
I write this in order to acquaint it to my mind."

Master Shantideva
A Guide to the Bodhisattva's Way of Life

I just started reading this great book from the start. Earlier I had gone through the patience chapter as I felt at that time it would be of most benefit to me. It was such an inspiration. If you haven't you should get a copy for yourself. There is beautiful edition published by the LTWA that can be bought from the Paljor Publications' site.
