Correcting your mind and setting it on the right path

The best spiritual friend is one who attacks your hidden faults.
The best instructions are the ones that hit those faults.
The best friends are mindfulness and vigilance.
The best incentives are enemies, obstacles and the sufferings of illness.
The best method is not to fabricate anything.

  • Dependent on mind and body, the six sense doors (sa¼±yatana) arise,
  • Dependent on the six sense doors, contact (phassa) arises,
  • Dependent on contact, sensation (vedan±) arises,
  • Dependent on sensation, craving (taºh±) arises,
  • Dependent on craving, clinging (up±d±na) arises,

Have a mind that’s open to everything and attached to nothing…

Just came across this line from Dr. Wayne Dyer. It's nice...

Sean Voisen

I frequent a lot of Flash Blogs and my Flash Blog is usually more active than this one.

While surfing across one such Flash Blog, I came across one section that I felt was a better fit here.

Sean Voisen is a young Flash Developer who was diagnosed with CML. And the condition has considerably changed his world view.

Sean is going to be the subject of my Tonglen Meditations for the week.

This war scares me...

Every person directly or indirectly involved with the war requires to be shown equal amount of compassion. They all need it...

Sure, I'm agains war and I believe war generally scares everybody. But for some reason I do not feel quite as strongly about this war now that it actually happened. And I believe I was a lot more concerned about it before the actual "incident".

Now that really scares me a lot.
